Once that belief that “my needs are always taken care of” is truly sitting in your bones, then you get choose to focus energy towards what you want.

The phrase “I want it but I don’t need it” was shared by a manifestation and personal development teacher Kathrin Zenkina. There’s a second part to this that I’m excited to share below.

Today I was sitting at the kitchen table, eating breakfast, drinking coffee, empowering myself with visualization of what I want and integrating into my body the truth that it’s here and now happening. I glanced to my left and saw a forsythia bush. However, you’d only know it is a forsythia bush if you have been in this yard during Spring. I felt excitement, joy, and upliftment for the yellow glow that radiates from that bush every Spring. It is so joyful and abundant.

A beautiful realization came to me. This bush that in this moment looks like twigs and branches, actually has the energetic potential to bloom the most beautiful yellow flowers. This reality exists beneath the surface of the brown exterior we see in the Winter. Just like I know this is a forsythia bush, if you know who you are, you also know the potential that exists in you. Stop judging your current circumstances and reacting from your environment. Nature moves in seasons. While in Winter the bush is hibernating into the Earth and roots, to preserve its energy for the season of Spring. It wouldn’t survive if it bloomed in the Winter. Why force something when it is coming anyways? This may simply be your Winter and the treasures exist but you are in a season of rooting and rest.

Focus your energy of the knowing of what is coming and what your current season is asking of you.

Spring can’t happen without Winter. Focus on your root system and the foundation of your creation.

For us humans, who create our reality, this is an important time to shift your beliefs and identity to the one you desire to experience. Not the path to get there, but the energetic frequency of what feels good and exciting from the heart. Call on what it is that you really want. It will be highest vibration of the heart and a gift to you and and the world.

As we transition from Winter to Spring, a shedding will occur. I am learning this year, to truly let go of the version of me that isn’t serving this heart aligned vision for my life.

Tune in to the subtle but very impactful habits and behaviors that you engage with. Which energetic exchanges support your bliss, and which do not? Make a clear yes or no, commit to it, and continue to visualize a field of protection. This will help when the energies tied with “no” want to come into your thoughts again. When you clear connections to those behaviors and energies, there is a more space. Fill it with the feeling of already having the reality currently desired by your heart.

What is it that you want, but don’t need?

In this moment. I realized I didn’t need a temp job with an agency I had a meeting with in 2 hours. I also didn’t want a temp job.

So why was I saying yes to it? If all of my needs are taken care of? It is time we stand for what we deserve and create it with patience.

I jumped out of my seat and came to my laptop to write an email to cancel the meeting, and write this transmission of my aha moment.

Comment below how your season of Winter is going. I’d love to hear if this supported you in your season of rest and transition to Spring. I’m looking forward to celebrate and enjoy the flowers of my labor.

Below is a current winter picture. The only blooming picture I have is from when I recreated a famous painting in 2020, enjoy!
