Today I will be sharing a photo journey through the walking path at Wheeler Nature Park in South Burlington, Vermont.

Spending a day playing with my camera, pausing to look at the critters and little flowers brings me so much joy. Vermont has a magical landscape for anyone looking to get their fill of nature.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on the concept of social media and sharing on a digital platform. My intention lately has been to encourage people to go outside and connect with the beauty of the natural landscape. But it also feels a bit twisted when I am on the platform too.

Pictures are never the same at the real thing. I think for myself and maybe others, we are relearning how to be in true presence with the moment. To allow awe and wonder be the lens through which we experience the world, rather than capturing to the moment to try and save it. Fond memories are my favorite, but you can never truly capture something as fleeting as life.

I hope to continue inspiring people to go out and take time to be with yourself and the natural world. Savor it for yourself, simply for the enjoyment of this life we get to live on this magical planet called Earth.

As I share in my last post about Taurus Season, slowing down is my current focus.

Take a deep slow breath.

I hope you enjoy the photos from my fairy walk through the fields and woods of a pocket of nature in Vermont.

If you are in the area and want to enjoy the walk too, I recommend a weekday or a sunset or sunrise time. The sunrise is visible over the mountain landscape and lights up the meadows.

During the day it is also fun to check out a nearby farmer’s style market called The Mill Market. They have a great deli for lunch and drinks and dessert. Lots of fun items to look at in the store.
